This was a big challenge for me for the lack of time (between work, school, and a girlfriend), and especially because illustration is not my major area.

I chose the line art style to give emphasis on the lighting, flat color, and composition. I tried to use the light and difference of color to give volume instead of using various shades and colors. The choice of mainly purple, black, and bege was an attempt to bring some drama to the composition. Dark purple is a damn "heavy" color with a lot of character, just like Marcus. My main inspirations was 300 (the movie), Thorpe's work, and Spawn (the comic book).

Anyways, I really had fun producing this piece, I hope everyone like it.
